Meeting Life’s 10,000 Joys & Sorrows With Equanimity & Compassion
Teachers: Hugh Byrne, Luisa Montero-Diaz and Rebecca Hines
Amidst the challenges and uncertainties we face in our lives and in the world today, the Buddha’s teachings lay out a path for opening to life as it is, while also discerning when and how to take kind and wise action. As we explore practices that cultivate the mind, body and heart toward clarity and calm, we discover our potential to meet all experience with compassion, courage, and equanimity.
During this week-long retreat, we will explore the benefits of coming into stillness and quiet together in community. We will focus on practices that help access a deep sense of balance and well-being, even when conditions are difficult, in meditation and in daily life.
Our time together will include silent and guided sitting meditation, heart practices, walking meditation, movement, dharma talks, instructions, Q&A, and small group meetings with the teachers.
